Well, i fist got into dance music when i went to Cream in Liverpool in 96/97. I regularly saw a guy called Paul, with a long name beginning in O...later found out it was Oakey. I'd never experienced anything quite like that club before, and was hooked big time!
Ever since, i've wanted to experience the feeling of orchestrating your own party! I am completetly passionate about music, and couldn't live without it haha
Wanted to do the Technics DJ Academy course since 2000, and finally had a one on one recently, to be told, i don't need to come back! Which was flattering and gutting after such a build up lol.
I only truely took to my Technics after loosing my pops last year, was too worried bout being crap before! I can now say i'm sorry i didn't stop worrying earlier! i use both Pionner CDJ 1000's and the good old vinyl...i love it!
So with only really 12 months mixing under my belt, i did my 1st live gig in October 08, and i can not wait to do my next!
I'm due to play out again soon, back to back at Digital Punk, and can't wait!
Inspired by the way Oakey takes you on a journey, then Eddie Halliwell's enthusiasm and technique....and Zabiela! That guy is an andriod, a Pioneer one at that! haha
Too many people in the industry to mention though, as i've been kinda obsessed for 12 years
Shame i'm a late developer erm..well in this respect, but i'm gonna make up for lost time haha.
Just hoping to improve my skills, and make people feel as fooking good as i do when i play! ;0)
Sorry I've not responded sooner, little Charlotte has been driving me insane. Ahh the life a boring Mum. Charlotte was dancing like mad when we were listening to you. :)
